FAQ

Health and Safety

Our camp Игра.Unplugged requires to leave all electronics at home to communicate in real time with real people and enjoy all the benefits of a traditional summer camp. If there are any concerns that require parent contact, we will call you right away. If a camper asks to call parents, he/she is able to do so from a phone of a staff member.

Camper’s parents also have an access to an online video and photo gallery. We work hard to get as many pictures of as many kids as possible to give family an opportunity to share the camp experience with their camper from the comfort of parents’ home by viewing daily photos and videos on Facebook.

Campers are supervised daily for cleanliness by their cabin counselors. Campers are asked to take a daily shower and brush their teeth twice a day. Campers are also checked for the application of sunscreen and bug spray, when needed.

Staff will contact parents if there is a continuous problem of non-participation in the program, telling off-color stories, bullying, stealing or using inappropriate language, or any other behavior that detracts from the wholesome environment the camp wishes to provide. Dangerous, violent, threatening, dishonest, negative or otherwise unsatisfactory behavior on the part of the camper could lead to his or her dismissal from camp. Our honor code, which we ask all staff/volunteers and campers to abide by, is “Because Russian Camp will be my home for a camp period, I will: be honest, be positive, and show respect to other campers, staff, and property”.
